Tina Taylor has always been on the move. Growing up playing little league baseball and competitive soccer, she always imagined a career that would make use of her energy and affinity for staying active. As a physical therapist at Great Basin Orthopaedics (GBO), Tina is not only constantly in motion, she’s also doing something she loves — helping her patients regain their own mobility and enhance their quality of life.

Tina says she views each patient’s diagnosis as a puzzle, as every condition presents differently. She thrives on finding the most personalized treatment plan that will provide optimal results. She sought a practice where she would have the time and flexibility to provide this individualized care with an emphasis on manual therapy. GBO provides her with that opportunity.

Tina earned a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology at Texas A&M University and double minored in psychology and business management. She went on to earn a Doctor of Physical Therapy at Angelo State University, is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and has a certification in dry needling. In her practice, she utilizes the full scope of her education and enjoys building her manual skill set, implementing techniques including muscle energy technique, Counterstrain, and instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization. Beyond injury progression, Tina is genuinely concerned about her patients’ well-being and loves building strong relationships with them.

Originally from Houston, Tina married her husband, Silas, in her hometown on March 14, 2020 — the venue’s last pre-pandemic wedding. Jobs brought them to Nevada in 2017. They share their Reno home with two border collie mixes that they take with them on hikes around the Tahoe area. As fans of outdoor recreation, Tina and her husband are avid soccer players, tennis players, and snowboarders. She is also an enthusiastic baker, experimenting with everything from cakes to macarons. She and Silas are die-hard Texas A&M Aggie fans and enjoy spending fall weekends enthusiastically cheering on their Aggies during football games.
