BIO
Devastating injury can be a real motivator. For Allie Janas, seeing patients with serious orthopaedic injuries heal and transition home was the inspiration for her career path. More than a decade ago, when she began her nursing career as a trauma ICU nurse, she witnessed firsthand how an efficient and evidence-based orthopaedic team could change the course of a patient’s future.
Throughout her well-rounded career, Allie has seen and treated a variety of acute and chronic injuries. She has diverse experience in all orthopaedic subspecialties – including conditions and injuries of the shoulder, elbow, hand, hip, knee, foot and ankle – and is passionate about constantly developing her skills to improve patient outcomes.
Allie’s approach to patient care is rooted in compassion. Sensitive to the emotional, financial and physical toll an injury may have on a patient, she is dedicated to providing high quality, patient-centered care. At Great Basin Orthopaedics, this includes keeping her patients informed so they can be at the forefront of decision-making, as well as collaborating with the surgical team to develop high quality health care plans with an emphasis on the patient experience.
Allie was born and raised in Carson City, Nevada, where she developed an appreciation for all the activities our beautiful area has to offer. When Allie and her husband aren’t exploring the outdoors, they can be found spending time with family and friends, or proudly supporting their daughter – a multi-sport enthusiast who participates in hockey, gymnastics, soccer, dance and basketball – from the stands.

Dr. Kieckbusch showed me the x-rays and explained the problem and said when I was ready he would correct the problem. Very good personality and explained it so I understood it. Will definitely go back when I'm ready.
If you have hand issues ~ Dr. Dooley is who you want as your physician. Knowledgeable, honest and validated my concerns. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Staff is superb and helpful.
Staff at Great Basin Orthopaedics are so caring.
Always professional, courteous and compelling for me, the patient, to do exercises that enhance performance. I am challenged to exercise Amy's list of items so I can get better through each appointment. VG!
