BIO

If it falls under orthopaedics, chances are Maeve Lyons has done it. For more than a decade, Maeve has built broad expertise in a variety of orthopedic provider roles—from walk-in clinics to a Level 1 Trauma Center. Each experience has helped shape her into a versatile physician assistant, with skills spanning general orthopaedics to sports medicine and treatment of devastating traumatic injuries.

Growing up, Maeve always knew she wanted to help others—a passion that naturally evolved into a career in medicine. It was during her time working at a ski resort walk-in clinic—treating broken bones, dislocations and traumatic injuries—that she discovered her passion for orthopaedics. Being able to make a difference and help someone through such a critical experience was incredibly rewarding, and it’s this human connection that continues to drive her today.

At Great Basin Orthopaedics, Maeve brings that same drive and compassion to every patient she sees. Her approach to care is rooted in curiosity, patience and humility, understanding that every patient’s situation is unique. For Maeve, orthopaedics is about more than fixing injuries—it’s about supporting her patients, guiding them through their care and helping them maintain or regain their quality of life.

Originally from Boston, Maeve moved west to find a balance between city life and outdoor adventure, so it’s no wonder she landed in Reno. Outside the clinic, she is happiest outdoors—mountain biking, hiking or camping with her partner and rescue dogs.
