BIO

Is there a better reward for a day’s work than giving another person relief from pain? For Taylor Bauer, the answer was “No!”, setting her on a path to become a physical therapist.

Taylor grew up watching her uncle help young patients recover from injury and overcome impairment as a pediatric physical therapist. She saw these children become more functional, confident and happy, and knew she wanted to pursue a career where she could help in the same way.

At Great Basin Orthopaedics, Taylor serves as both a physical therapist and a guide for her patients, educating them on their body mechanics so they have the tools to thrive beyond the PT clinic. She’s an attentive listener who enjoys working with patients who are recovering from surgery, as well as those seeking non-surgical ways to help them move with less discomfort and more confidence. Taylor appreciates the process of physical therapy, where she can build relationships with patients and see them progress over time.

A 5th generation Nevadan, Taylor was eager to return to her hometown and care for her community after earning her Doctor of Physical Therapy at the University of Utah, Salt Lake City. In her free time, she enjoys skiing, mountain biking, weight lifting, boating and spending time with friends and family.
